Volunteers Needed for Safe Harbor

For the needy shall not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the poor perish forever. – Psalm 9:18

Safe Harbor is a homeless shelter located at 536 Bushkill Drive, Easton PA.  The facility houses and feeds up to twenty-six men and women.  St. John’s UCC has had a Social Ministry to assist the residents at Safe Harbor for many years.  Thanks to all who served in 2011.

We again are seeking volunteers to shop, cook and serve a meal once a month.  The cost of the meal is provided by St. John’s UCC.  For those individuals who have not served in this rewarding experience, please consider joining us.  A Social Concerns member will lead you or your party through this social ministry.  A sign-up board is available in the Gallery.

If you are interested in being part of this social ministry or have any questions, please contact Earl Keller at 610-746-0129 or EKMK@ptd.net or Kelly Wambold at 610-759-6512 for more information.  Your stewardship is necessary to spread God’s spirit through fellowship and provide a service to the needy.  Thank you!!!
